If you look closely you can see the center stiffening rib, and a oak board used for stiffening. These are located so they locate the batteries as well.

These 8 cells rest on a frame, but are not attached to it. Two people can lift them out. You notice I had to remove the original hood holddown mechanism to fit these batteries in this location.

You can just see the frame the batteries sit on. They are straped to it, and the frame and batteries are removed as an assembly.

Believe it or not, that is the correct height to match the old gas tank position. After driving a Miget for over 30 years, I know I don't hit the gas tank.
